Bugatti and Jacob & Co. officially announced their partnership at Baselworld 2019
French supercar manufacturer Bugatti and renowned diamond jewellery brand replica Jacob & Co. have signed a partnership agreement to jointly launch a series of exclusive co-branded products. The partnership was officially announced by Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann and Jacob & Co. President Jacob Arabo at Baselworld 2019.
The first product of this partnership is a limited edition of Jacob & Co.'s high-level complication watch, the Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition. The original Twin Turbo Furious was launched in 2018 and features a stunning twin triple-axis tourbillon, column-wheel chronograph and decimal minute repeater. The Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti Edition is inspired by high-performance sports cars and celebrates the 110th anniversary of the Bugatti Chiron. The Bugatti logo is printed in the center of the dial. The power reserve indicator is called "Fuel" and the instrument is decorated in the colors of the French flag.
The collaboration will also see the launch of a special edition of the sporty watch, the "Bugatti Chrono Edition Limitée 110 Ans", to commemorate each year since Ettore Bugatti founded Bugatti in 1909. The Jacob & Co. JCAA05 skeletonized automatic chronograph movement is equipped with a column wheel to activate the chronograph function. The chronograph counters feature a binocular layout with a small seconds hand at nine o'clock on the left and a minute counter at three o'clock on the right; the seconds are read by the central red chronograph hand in the French flag.
The Bugatti Edition features a newly developed, specially crafted forged carbon fiber case and incorporates the colors of the French flag into its bold dial design, highlighting the heritage of the luxury car manufacturer. The watch is paired with a special rubber strap inspired by the iconic rear hood of the Bugatti Chiron and adorned with the iconic "EB" logo on the buckle to commemorate the collaboration.
